President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev met a few days ago with a World Bank delegation led by Vice President Anne Bjerde.

In 30 years of partnership, the portfolio of projects in priority sectors has exceeded
8 billion dollars.

The agenda of the talks included the promotion of a program of social and economic reforms with the support of this leading international financial institution.

During the meeting were envisaged improvement of living standards in rural areas, accelerating the privatization of state-owned enterprises, transformation of agriculture, modernization of the social sector, improving energy efficiency of the economy and other issues.
