The President signed a law aimed at improving the procedure for granting pensions.

According to it, the right to pension with a reduction of the retirement age by 5 years will have doctors and nurses of specialized medical institutions - if they have worked for at least 25 years in settlements, villages and auls regardless of their last place of work.

In accordance with the law, the procedure for determining the upbringing and custody of the stepfather and stepmother of deceased stepchildren is determined by the Cabinet of Ministers.

Additions to calculable pensions are established for persons who have rendered special services to Uzbekistan - from 100% to 150% of the basic amount of the pension calculation. At the same time, the procedure for payment of their pension increments is determined by the Cabinet of Ministers.

The time worked after the assignment of disability pensions of groups I and II is added to the length of service.

If the length of service is at least one year after granting disability pensions of groups I and II, the pension is recalculated every two years based on the citizen's application taking into account the length of service and earnings. The recalculation of the pension is based on the required length of service in relation to the age of the citizen at the date of application for recalculation of the pension.
