The Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis is considering a bill on amendments to the Code of Administrative Responsibility.
According to the newly enacted article 197-7, obstruction of the legitimate medical activities of a medical worker or illegal influence on a medical worker in various forms for this purpose may result in the imposition of a fine on citizens in the amount of five to seven basic calculated values, and on officials - from seven up to ten BRV, or administrative arrest for up to fifteen days.
These offenses are proposed to be considered by the criminal courts within 3 days.
In 2019-2022 there were about 290 cases of various forms of encroachments against medical workers in Uzbekistan.
It should be noted that the Administrative Liability Codes of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Kazakhstan provide for special responsibility for unlawful interference in the activities of a medical worker.
The bill was introduced by the Prosecutor General as an initiative.
