A project to create and develop high-speed chargers for electric vehicles using solar energy is being implemented at the National Research Institute for Renewable Energy Sources under the Ministry of Energy. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry.

In particular, taking into account the climatic conditions of Uzbekistan, a fast charging device for electric vehicles was developed through a solar photovoltaic system with an energy storage system, operating in parallel with the local power grid.

It is noted that each system generates 32 thousand kilowatt-hours of electricity per year, it is possible to charge 950 electric vehicles, while saving 11.2 thousand cubic meters of natural gas, which will prevent the emission of 19.8 tons of harmful gases into the atmosphere.
