In January-August 2022, 3 million foreign citizens visited Uzbekistan for tourism purposes. This is reported by the State Statistics Committee.

It is noted that this figure has increased by 1.5 million people or 1.9 times compared to the same period last year.

Within eight months, the greatest number of tourists visited Uzbekistan from Kazakhstan (922.7 thousand), Kyrgyzstan (821.9 thousand) and Tajikistan (814.5 thousand). Tourists also came from the following countries:

•          - Russia - 316.9 thousand;

•          - Turkey - 45.8 thousand;

•          - South Korea - 10.9 thousand;

•          - Germany - 10.3 thousand;

•          - United States - 7,8 thousand;

•          - India - 6.7 thousand;

•          - France - 6.4 thousand;

•          - Azerbaijan - 6.1 thousand;

•          - Israel - 6.6 thousand;

•          - The United Kingdom - 6 thousand;

•          - Italy - 4,700 thousand;

•          - Spain - 3.1 thousand.
