A Japanese street with stores, food outlets and souvenirs may appear in Tashkent, according to the press service of the capital's administration.

According to information, the Government with the participation of the khokim and his deputy - the head of the department of investment and foreign trade Sharof Rakhmanov and specialists from the department held a meeting with a business delegation from Japan.

Specialists from the Department of Investment and Foreign Trade gave a brief presentation on the changes that have taken place in the capital, its investment potential and other opportunities. As examples, detailed information was given about the capital's "Technopark", IT-Park and MPZ, as well as other urban development and investment projects operating in Tashkent.

Representatives of the Japanese delegation spoke briefly about the activities of the companies they represent. In particular, the director of GIC holding Hattori Ai expressed interest in organizing a Japanese cuisine restaurant on the territory of a large business center in the capital.

Entrepreneurs from Japan noted the commonality of Japanese and Uzbek cultures and suggested implementing the Japanese Street project, which involves creating a separate "street", complete with small food outlets, stores with Japanese products and souvenirs. According to the guests, this space will be an excellent place for joint thematic exhibitions, fairs and festivals, which will undoubtedly increase the tourist attractiveness of the capital city.
