Senate Tanzila Narbayeva, opening the 28th plenary session of the upper house of parliament, dwelt on the recent unrest in Karakalpakstan. According to her, the events showed that all officials need to make the right conclusion and reconsider their work. This was officially reported on the website Podrobno.uz.
"All of you are aware of the fact that unexpected events have taken place in Karakalpakstan. We have witnessed that these events can never break the unity of our people, no matter how hard some forces try. At the same time, all of us will have to draw the right conclusion and reconsider our work," she said.
Narbayeva stressed that these events demonstrate the need to involve the forces and resources of all government agencies and departments in the timely resolution of issues in dialogue with the population.
"There are no small problems and big problems of the population, it is important to solve each of them. Any small problem, if not solved, is bound to become a big one someday. We, as representatives of the people, are responsible for preventing such a situation in the first place! In short, we will have to critically examine our work," she stressed.
"I would like to take this opportunity, on behalf of myself and the senators, to express my condolences to the families and friends of our compatriots who died during the events in Karakalpakstan, and to wish a speedy recovery to the citizens who are being treated in the hospitals. May our country always be peaceful and our people live in prosperity," she concluded.
